It all began with my love of watching the Great British Baking Show. One of the baking challenges they had was to make a Bûche de Noël or Yule Log Cake. Having never heard of such a creation, I was intrigued… A fluffy chocolate cake with a light cream filling and topped with chocolate frosting?! I’ll take two! I made my first cake in 2018 and it has been a tradition ever since. Is it labor intensive? Yes. Worth it? Y-E-S. I follow this recipe but add fresh raspberries to the filling and as decoration.
