- Grandview Public Market – lunch/dinner | industrial-style market featuring chef-inspired food vendors, plus live bands, yoga & other events; I always get the tacos at Zipitios
- Grato – dinner | offers housemade pasta, wood-fired pizza & other Italian fare, plus a full bar
- HIVE Bakery & Cafe – breakfast/lunch | offers breakfast, lunch, pastries, and take-home dinners based on seasonal selections
- Hot Pie Pizza – lunch/dinner | has the best New York style pizza – if I want pizza, I always get it from here; try the Johnny’s New Yorker or the Hot Pie
- Hullabaloo – lunch/dinner | trendy gastropub for Italian fare, cocktails & brews, with a vintage Airstream camper on the patio; I had my 21st birthday party here – really fun night out option
- Jo Bistro – breakfast/lunch/dinner | perfect spot for healthy options; they offer delicious açaí bowls, wraps, juices and smoothies
- Kitchen – dinner | offers seasonal, American dishes; try their popular coconut cake
- Loïc Bakery & Café – breakfast/lunch | authentic French bakery (the owner/chef is French); you have to try any of the croissants

- Lion Country Safari – a drive-through safari park and walk-through amusement park located on over 600 acres in Loxahatchee
- Manatee Lagoon – educational center with seasonal wild manatee viewing, hands-on exhibits & a gift shop
- Mounts Botanical Garden – public garden with over 6,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants from six continents, including plants native to Florida
- Norton Museum of Art – I have fond memories visiting the Norton with my grandmother. It’s a fun place to get lost in for the afternoon. They have an impressive collection that includes over 8,200 works, with a concentration in European, American, and Chinese art as well as in contemporary art and photography
- Palm Beach Zoo – the zoo houses more than 550 animals, many of them endangered, within 23-acres of lush tropical habitat
- Peanut Island – 79-acre island at the mouth of the Lake Worth Inlet; includes camp sites, a pier, a man-made reef and picnic sites
- Science Center and Aquarium – offers over 50 hands-on exhibits, a planetarium, a 3000 square foot aquarium, a miniature golf course, and a large exhibit space that displays a temporary traveling exhibit

- City Girl Consignment – women’s resale boutique specializing in items of current style and season; offers slightly used pieces from everyday brands to luxury labels

- The Square (formerly known as City Place when I was growing up) – upscale lifestyle center in downtown WPB, along South Rosemary Avenue; contains more than 60 restaurants and stores
- World Thrift – the place to shop secondhand in WPB; it’s massive so make sure you have a decent amount of time set aside to peruse everything; there’s a great variety of men’s/women’s/kids clothing, shoes, accessories, books, movies, appliances, knick knacks
